Dr. Lesani received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry from University of North Texas in 1996. He attended University of Texas Health Science Center and obtained his Doctor of Medicine in 2000. His surgical internship and urology residency were completed at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. Early in his residency training he developed an interest in minimally invasive treatment of urologic disease. To further pursue this interest, Dr. Lesani completed a fellowship at Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. During his fellowship he completed training on laparoscopy and robotic urologic surgery as well as endoscopic laser treatment of urinary stones and benign prostate disease. He then joined Las Vegas Urology in September of 2007.
Dr. Lesani has been published in multiple academic journals and has authored multiple book chapters including in Mastery of Surgery. His work has been presented at national and international urology conferences. He has served as an instructor of Urology at Northwestern University and as a Manuscript Reviewer for the Journal of Urology.
Dr. Lesani practices general urology with an emphasis on modern minimally invasive treatment approaches, including laparoscopic surgery for renal cancers, laparoscopic reconstruction of the urinary tract and robotic surgery for prostate and renal cancers. Dr. Lesani is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology.
